Vehicle Wraps Kenosha WI

One Vehicle, Two Markets

A lot of Kenosha businesses do not stop at the state line. Crews run south into Lake and McHenry County, customers come north on 94 and 41, and the same van sits in traffic in two states in one day.

That is what makes a wrap work harder here than a sign ever could. Your van is parked at a job in Pleasant Prairie at nine and on a street in Illinois by two, and it is selling the whole time. No monthly bill, no renewal, no one taking it down.

If you work both sides of the border, say so on the wrap. Phone number and service area where a driver can read it in traffic beats a clever design every time.

Vinyl Wraps Kenosha WI

3M Certified, Twenty Years, One Shop

Road Rage Designs has been wrapping vehicles for over twenty years out of a shop at 2449 Pierce Dr in Spring Grove, Illinois. We are 3M certified graphics installers and PDAA master certified, and we hold a 4.8 rating across 130 Google reviews.

Being this close to the line matters more than it sounds. You are not shipping a vehicle to Milwaukee or Chicago and losing it for a week. You drop it, we wrap it in our own indoor bay, and you pick it up.

We are a small shop, which means the person who designs your wrap is the person who installs it. Nothing gets handed off and nothing gets lost in translation.

Car Wrap Installation Kenosha WI

Design, Print, Install

We start by measuring the actual vehicle, not a template. Every make has its own curves, door handles and body lines, and a wrap that ignores them peels at the edges.

Then you see a mockup on your vehicle before anything is printed. You tell us what to change. Only when it is right do we print, and we print in house, so a color tweak does not cost you a week.

Installation happens indoors. Vinyl does not lay down properly in cold or wind, which in this part of Wisconsin rules out a lot of the year. Most single vehicles are in and out in two to three days.

About Road Rage Designs

Vinyl Car Wraps Kenosha WI

What We Wrap

Full and partial wraps for cars, vans and trucks. Vinyl cut lettering and door magnets for a cheaper start. Color change wraps and exotic textured vinyls if the vehicle is personal rather than commercial.

Commercial fleets, trailers, box trucks, buses and semi trucks. If you run numbers and need US DOT compliance lettering, we do that too.

Boats, jet skis, snowmobiles, ATVs and golf carts, which matters on this side of the line more than most. We also print signs, banners, window graphics and wall murals, so a shop front and the van outside it can match.

Those last two have their own pages for this area: custom banners in Kenosha and wall murals in Kenosha.

Do I have to cross into Illinois to get my vehicle wrapped?

Yes, the shop is in Spring Grove, Illinois, a few minutes south of the Wisconsin line and an easy run from Kenosha. There is no Wisconsin branch and we are straight about that.

It is one trip down and one trip back. Most single vehicle wraps take two to three days, so you are not making repeated journeys, and we book you in rather than leaving your vehicle sitting.

Road salt, ice scrapers and the freeze and thaw cycle are harder on a wrap than summer sun. Quality vinyl handles it. The failures we see are almost always installation, not material: edges that were not sealed properly let water and salt get underneath, and then it lifts.

That is why the install happens indoors on a clean, warm panel. Wash it by hand through the winter rather than running it through a brush wash, and keep the pressure washer back from the seams.

Yes. Tanks, fairings and fenders all take vinyl, and a wrap is reversible in a way that paint is not, which matters if you plan to sell the bike later.

Motorcycle work is more hand fitting than a van because the panels are small and heavily curved, so it is priced on the individual bike rather than by the square foot. Bring it in and we will look at it.

We do not publish a number, because the honest answer depends on things we have to see. Vehicle size is the biggest factor, then how much of it you are covering, then how complex the artwork is and which vinyl you choose.

A partial wrap or cut lettering on a small van is a different conversation from a full color change on a crew cab. Tell us the vehicle and what you want it to do, and you get a real quote rather than a range that moves once we see it.

Yes, and fleets are where this pays best. One design gets applied across every vehicle, so the artwork cost is spread rather than repeated, and we schedule the vehicles so you are never short more than one at a time.

We handle vans, box trucks, trailers, buses and semi trucks, including US DOT compliance numbers. If you add a vehicle in two years we still have your files and it will match the rest.

On sound factory paint, no. The vinyl sits on top and shields it from stone chips, salt and sun, so the panel underneath usually comes out better than the rest of the vehicle.

The risk is with repainted or already failing paint. If a panel has been resprayed or is lifting, vinyl can take it with it on removal. We check the paint before we start and tell you if a panel is a problem rather than finding out at the end.
