Vehicle Wraps McHenry IL

A Work Van That Pays For Itself

If you run a trade out of McHenry, your van already drives past the people you want as customers. It sits outside the job, it parks at the supply house, it is at the lights on Route 120. It is just not saying anything.

Lettering changes that for a fraction of what a full wrap costs, and plenty of our customers start there. Name, trade, phone number, big enough to read from the next lane. That is the whole trick.

The businesses that get the most out of it are the ones whose work is local. If your customers are inside twenty miles, the van is in front of them every day of the week.

Vinyl Car Wraps McHenry IL

Twenty Years, One Shop, Up The Road

Road Rage Designs has been wrapping vehicles for over twenty years out of a single shop in Spring Grove. We are 3M certified graphics installers and PDAA master certified, and we design, print and install under one roof.

Being in your county is not a sales line, it is a practical thing. You can come and look at vinyl samples in daylight before you commit, and if something needs attention after the install you drive up rather than filing a ticket.

We are a small shop. The person who draws your design is the person who puts it on the vehicle.

Car Wrap Installation McHenry IL

Measure, Mock Up, Print, Fit

We measure the actual vehicle rather than working from a template. Door handles, body lines and curves are all different between makes, and a wrap that ignores them lifts at the edges.

You see the design on your own vehicle before anything prints, and you change it as many times as you like at that stage. It costs nothing until it goes on vinyl.

Printing happens here, so a change does not mean a week of waiting. Installation is indoors on a cleaned panel, and most single vehicles are back with you in two to three days.

About Road Rage Designs

Car Wraps And Lettering McHenry IL

From Door Magnets To Full Fleets

Vinyl cut lettering and door magnets if you want your name on the truck without wrapping it. Partial wraps when you want more presence. Full wraps and color change wraps when you want the whole vehicle working.

Commercial fleets, trailers, box trucks, buses and semi trucks, including US DOT compliance numbers. One design applied across every vehicle, so the artwork cost is spread rather than repeated.

Also boats, jet skis, snowmobiles, ATVs and golf carts, plus signs, banners, window graphics and wall murals. A shop front and the truck outside it can match because they come from the same place.

We have separate pages for custom banners in McHenry and wall murals in McHenry if that is what you came for.

Where exactly are you from McHenry?

2449 Pierce Dr in Spring Grove, Illinois, a short run north of McHenry and in McHenry County. Open Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 4:30.

It is a real shop with a real bay, not a service area on a map. You can drive over and look at samples before you commit to anything.

For a lot of local trades, lettering does the job. Name, what you do and a phone number, sized to be read from another lane, is most of the value of a wrap at a fraction of the cost.

A full wrap earns its keep when you want to be remembered rather than just read, or when the vehicle is the first thing a customer sees. We will tell you honestly which one your situation calls for.

Two to three days for most single vehicles. Lettering or a small partial can be a day. A full wrap with complex artwork on a large truck takes longer.

Design happens before the vehicle comes in, so you are not standing around without it while we draw. We agree the artwork first, then book the vehicle.

It depends on the vehicle size, how much of it you are covering, how complex the artwork is and which vinyl you pick. Anyone giving you a number before seeing the vehicle is guessing.

Tell us the vehicle and what you want it to do and you get a real quote rather than a range that moves once we see it.

Quality vinyl handles road salt and the freeze and thaw cycle fine. What fails is almost always the install: unsealed edges let salt and water underneath, and then it lifts.

Wash by hand through the winter rather than running it through a brush wash, and keep the pressure washer back from the seams.

On sound factory paint, no. The vinyl shields the panel from chips, salt and sun, and it normally comes out better than the rest of the vehicle.

Repainted or already failing paint is the exception, and vinyl can take it with it on removal. We check the paint before starting and tell you if a panel is a risk.
